We managed to get through six stations yesterday; quite a good haul considering we are still learning to work together as a team. Everybody is doing a great job. Our team is good at looking for places to help and figuring out what needs to be done without needing to be directed by the boss. We are having some issues with some of the machines on board for chemistry analyses but are saving the samples and should have adequate supplies for running all the tests Wednesday when we resupply.
The transit times are so short between stations that by the time we get done processing one station we are already on to the next one, which makes for an exhausting day! Still, there are always new things that make the day interesting. For instance, we actually saw lots of biota in the later cores yesterday including polychaetes (worms), scaphopods (tusk shells), amphipods, and even a shrimp.
We are managing pretty well without much of the gear we ordered, so things should go swimmingly once we return to port on Tuesday and pick up supplies.
